Collection: Sawubona

Curated by the Blerd & the Beautiful, the Sawubona Collection is composed to ensure Black children see themselves in books beyond the month of February. Our goal is to express sentiments of Sankofa by looking back at the rich tradition of Dr. Jerrie Cobb Scott's African American Read-In to bring forth reading recommendations that make it easier to make the literary contributions of Black authors a central part of life.
