Join us for an author talk. Enjoy an intimate conversation between Kwame Alexander and Rose Scott as they discuss his latest book, Why Fathers Cry at Night.
Access to the author event is free and audience members may reserve a book signing ticket or Cultural Pass for chances to win author exclusives. When you register, you will have the option to request a hold from Central Library, purchase the featured book(s) from Scribes & Vibes Bookshop, or contribute to the Adopt A Book program. You do not have to place a book on hold, purchase a book, or make a monetary donation to attend in-person author events or virtual author visits, however, reservations for the August 7th author talk are required.
Reserve your seat now, then prepare to join us for an evening with Kwame Alexander. The program is free and open to the public and patrons are free to use public paid parking, rideshares, and/or Marta.

Culture Pass:
The "Culture Pass" serves as our general admission ticket. Your general admission ticket will allow you to join us during the Author Talk with Kwame Brown at Central Library. This ticket provides an opportunity for you to secure free tickets to the library program.
Backstage Pass:
The "Backstage Pass" serves as our book signing ticket. Your book signing ticket will allow you to attend the library event and enter the book signing line. This ticket type provides an opportunity for you to meet the author and get your books personalized.
PRE-ORDER BOOKS
To purchase signed copies of the book(s) featured for this author event, you may visit the Scribes & Vibes Bookshop or select a book signing ticket with your Eventbrite registration. Copies of Kwame Alexander's Why Fathers Cry at Night will be available for pick after the author talk program on August 7, 2023 at Central Library. Signed copies delivered to virtual audience members will not be personalized. Please note, pre-order sales will end at noon on Monday, July 31, 2023.
